Cute Animals

For those that enjoy working with their hands and creating things, you can use those talents for our animals. You can make toys, blankets, scratching posts, adopt me vests or bandanas, and homemade treats. You can make them to sell and donate the money or you can bring the items in for our animals to enjoy.

Happy socks: take an old clean sock and put some catnip in the toe, stuff with another sock or batting, tie or sew up the end.

Kitty/doggie blankets: you can knit or crochet a blanket or take two pieces of fleece, fringe the edges, and then tie the edges together. We could use a lot of these that are about 15”x9” for our go home carriers for the cats. You can also put batting in the blankets to make them softer.

Kitty hammocks: take a pillowcase, put some quilt batting in it, sew the edges and quilt the inside (this keeps the batting in place during all the washes), put a grommet in each corner.
