Microchip Clinics

HURRICANE SEASON is coming!!!!  Make sure your pets are microchipped!  Summer microchip dates are Thursday, July 9th and Thursday, August 13th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. 

Having your pet microchipped offers a permanent, national identification for your pet. The implant is placed painlessly under your pet's skin. Should your pet stray or become lost and lose his collar and tags, the 24PetWatch national recovery center will provide your name, address and telephone number to anyone who finds your pet anytime, day or night.

If you find a lost pet, most veterinarians and shelters will check for microchips at no cost. Every pet in Florida should be microchipped for hurricane preparedness. Be a responsible pet owner and take this precaution for your pet's safety.

Microchip clinics will be held on the second Thursday of every month at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.  Dogs & cats can be microchipped for $15/pet.  Remaining 2009 dates are July 9th, August 13th, September 10th, October 8th,  November 12th, and December 10th. No reservation is needed, but all dogs should be on a leash & all cats in carriers.
