Hi there, I'm Tiger. I'm an older gentleman who is easy-going and will make a loyal companion for a family who has the space in their home and heart to adopt a boy like me. I was returned back into the shelter after my previous owner had passed away, so there is nothing more that I would love than to find a family who is willing to adopt a senior pet. I have a great personality that is sure to make you smile! I am curently staying at a wonderful foster home, where I can run and play to my heart's content. They say that I am the sweetest, most loving dog and that my personality really comes out there. Scooter 6yr male chihuahua

Hi my name is Scooter and I am an upbeat 6 year old male chihuahua! I came to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay from another rescue group. Unfortunatly, my previous owners did not keep me on heartworm preventative so I have heartworms. Fortunatly for me, the nice people at HSTB are treating me for my heartworms and I am now ready to go home to a great family! I will have to be fostered until my treatment is completed in another month, this also means that you will need to keep me as calm as possible and keep me on a leash when you walk me outside. I am a great little boy looking for the love and companionship I so truely deserve! Crash - 7yr male JackRussell

Hi, my name is Crash and I am looking for my forever home. I was transfered to HSTB where I was found to be heartworm positive. I have since begun my treatment and am available through the foster to adopt program. This means that you can take me home today, I just have to return to HSTB on April 6th and 7th to finish my treatment. I must stay on a low exercise regemin until June 5th because heartworm treatment can be difficult for a dog, but then I'll be good as new and ready to run a play and do everything a normal dog should do. Lara- 6month old German Wirehaired Pointer

Hi, my name is Lara and I am a German Wirehaired Pointer mix. I came to the Humane Society of Tampa with a skin issue called demodectic mange. Fortunatly for me, the nice people here are treating me and I am now well enough to go home! I am in a program here called foster-to-adopt, this means that I can go home with you today but you will have to bring me in just a couple times to see the Veterinarian. Dont worry, Demodex is a very simple problem to fix and it is not contagious to people or other animals.
