Sherry has worked in animal welfare for 27 years. She was Operations Manager for the Michigan Humane Society in Detroit for most of her career. She oversaw the cruelty investigators and rescue personnel and managed a shelter with over 22,000 animals. She appeared on Animal Planet's Detroit Animal Cops for several years. Prior to becoming the Executive Director of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, she worked as an Outreach Manager for the ASPCA. Sherry serves on the No More Homeless Pets - Hillsborough County board, is a board member of CHAART (Community of Hillsborough Animal and Agricultural Response Team) and on the board of Mission MEOW (Managing and Ending Overpopulation Wisely). She is married and has two adult children. She shares her home with a Doberman and several cats.
