Now that I've made it thru all of that I'm ready to join YOU and get comfy in my forever home. Please give me a second chance at the great life. Now I know what you may be thinking, why does my fur look different than other dogs. Well, I have a condition called Demodex. It is cause by non-contagious mites that live under my skin causing some treatable issues with my skin. In fact, I am on my way to recovery right now!!! Because I am currently in treatment, I am available for adoption through the CHANCES program. This means you can take me home today, but I must return to HSTB every two weeks for my treatment until I am all better, then I am yours forever. I may take a little bit more work than some of the other dogs here, but I promise you I'm worth it, come visit me today and you'll see why!!!!

June-2 mo old hound/mix
Hello, my name is June and I am a 2 mo old hound/mix available for adoption at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. I came here along with my 3 siblings. When we arrived, one of my siblings was found to be positive for Demodex. Demodex is a mite that lives under the skin of dogs and cats. It is not contagious and easy to treat. Now, while I am negative for demodex, I am being treated for it as a precaution. Don't worry, you can still take me home today, I simply need to return every two weeks for my necessary treatment.
